Small group classes
1. Each class is a small group class with maximum 4 pax.
2. Lessons may be hybrid where some students join online or at bukit panjang site.
3. Your child must be comfortable with subsequent students joining the same class.
4. If the minimum 2 pax is not met, the tutor reserves the right to reschedule / cancel the lesson to better facilitate the class as a group.
Fees
1. Fees are based on the number of students and may be readjusted accordingly.
Advance payment
1. Tuition fees will be calculated and collected in advance on the first day of each month (e g. 1st January). For example, if there are 5 Wednesdays this month, 5 lessons will be charged.
2. Exceptions are: public holidays / travelling overseas during June / November & December holidays (with advance notice).
3. Fees are to be made before the first class commence in the first month to confirm your slot.
4. A late charge of 10% may be incurred if fees are paid on and after the 7th of each month and you may lose your slot in the class.
5. If your child joins the middle of the month, kindly make the payment before the commencement of the lesson.
Lesson schedule
1. Lesson schedule for the following year will be confirmed by end of December.
2. Lessons are held weekly at 1.5 or 2 hours. Lessons are held weekly to keep up with the pace and we encourage students not miss each lesson.
3. As all our classes are group-based, changing the schedule will affect other students in the same group. We kindly remind students and parents to stick to the same lesson schedule.
4. Lesson schedule may be subjected to changes every term. The tutor reserves the right to change the lesson timing and day
5. All classes for the year will end once end of year exams or O/N level exams start.
6. For non graduating students, you will be invited to join the following year’s classes. Kindly let us know if you are continuing to secure your slots.
Public holidays and school holidays
1. There are generally no classes on public holidays unless specially requested by parents or tutor (e.g. preparation for exams, extra lessons, makeup lessons).
2. In June holidays, your child may be invited to join optional additional classes to further boost their learning.
3. In November and December school holidays, revision and starter lessons are conducted.
4. In the holidays, lessons may be subjected to changes due to travel plans by tutor and parents. We will try our best to accommodate all students’s availability but we seek your understand that your desired slot may not be guaranteed.
Makeup lessons
1. Should there be changes due to unforeseen circumstances, do inform at least 2 days in advance (48 hours).
2. Students are to provide a MC to prove they are sick.
3. Reasons such as to study for other subjects or forgotten there is tuition are not accepted.
4. Students may join another group class of the same subject (online/ physical) subject to availability. Fees remain the same even if the other group class has a different number of pax.
5. The tutor may arrange a makeup lesson out of goodwill if there are available slots and more than 1 pax.
6. For last minute cancellation/changes without valid reason, makeup lessons may not be provided and will be forfeited.
7. Fees will not be refunded or carried forward for offsetting in the next payment cycle unless for special reasons such as tutor being sick.
8. We kindly remind students and parents to not abuse the makeup lesson system and stick to the agreed timing and day. As all our classes are group-based, the tutor is not obligated to conduct a separate make-up class for any individual student regardless of the reason for absence.
Withdrawal / termination
1. For withdrawal of lessons, please inform at least 2 weeks in advance so that we can make the necessary adjustments. Fees will not be refunded for the month. The deposit fee will be offset from the last month‘s fees.
2. If withdrawal is made without 2 weeks notice, the deposit fee will be forfeited.
3. The tutor reserves the right to terminate the student/parent immediately if found not suitable to continue.
Class Conduct
1. Students are expected to be punctual for classes and not use their phones unless for emergency or to aid in their learning.
2. Students are also advised to complete the given homework to best benefit from the lessons. The tutor will go through the homework at the start of the next lesson.
Materials
1. Materials will be given at every lesson. It is the students’ responsibility to keep them safe. Request for the same materials will incur an additional fee.
2. If your child joins after the semester starts, you may request for the materials for previous topics covered at an additional fee.
3. All materials are adapted from past exam papers, assessment books or personally prepared by the tutor. If additional assessment books are required to better supplement the lessons, you will be informed by the tutor.
