Our Upper Secondary Emath classes help students to prepare them for O level examinations. With many years of preparing students for O level emath, we are able to see commonly tested topics and problems faced by students.
Many students have problems in geometry questions where they have to visualise the diagrams, be it circles or three dimensional shapes. Ms Chua is able to explain in an easy to understand method so that students can visualise and apply easily.
We also notice that questions are no longer direct and they require students to explain their reasoning. For example, question may require students to explain why the data is misleading or why is the answer a perfect square. Our classes not only teaches students the concepts and formulas, but also the reasoning behind the method. We also train students in critical thinking and be smart learners instead of purely memorising.
The new O level Emath syllabus has also included a real life application question in paper 2. Students will be required to calculate interest, tax. They may also be required to compare two products and explain which is a better value, or suggest a suitable amount to sell a product. Nearing exams, our classes will go through commonly tested topics and concepts to help students to be well prepared for the o level examinations
